Abstract | This European Report on Continuing Vocational Training (CVT) is based on national reports written by experts from the Member States and delivered to the Commission in 1992 and 1994. "The structure of this report is as follows. Chapter 1 handles the rather problematic theme of definitions, concepts and components of CVT systems within its Member States. Chapter 2 describes the "financing systems", or rather financial arrangements, that are in use within the Member States. Chapter 3 considers the suppliers in the area of CVT and their training personnel. The fourth chapter analyses the access to CVT and more specifically, the participation patterns that emerge from the national reports, the supply specifically aimed at target groups and other measures undertaken to enhance access to or participation in training. Chapter 5 deals with the issues of planning, quality assurance and certification in the field of continuing vocational training. The final chapter, chapter 6, provides a general perspective on the measures and activities that have been undertaken in relation to the general aims, i. e. the common framework of guidelines, of the FORCE-programme.
