Abstract | Through daily life experiences, the author writes down his thoughts about the place and the importance of cultural features in academic learning in Africa, about the way people deal with school failure and success. From the encounter of two cultures, African culture and the European culture proposed by school, conflicts emerge and the child and his family will have to learn how to overcome these conflicts.
