| Abstract | In order to improve the interplay betwen practitioners and science it is essential to increase our knowledge of how different professional groups seek information in their daily life. This study is focused on Members of the Education Committee in the Swedish Parliament and how they obtain and use scientific information. Members have been interviewed and one MP was followed during a working week. Examples of questions raised and disucssed are: What part does scientific results play in their decision making? How do they obtain research results? What do their search ways look like? What kind of interpersonal network are they part of? In this article the study is briefly described. (DIPF/orig.). |
