| Abstract | The sport scene in Germany has changed fundamentally over the last two to three decades. Previously the image of sport was widely characterized by a relatively firm canon of sport disciplines. Meanwhile an enormous dynamism and an opening of these sports has taken place. In that context not only a great number of new sport disciplines has developed, but also the social frame of people doing sports or moving has become more divers and individual. Upon this background, it is understandable that the curricula for sport in school, which follow mainly the older, still quite clear forms of sport disciplines, have been criticized, and therefore also a fundamental revision seems absolutely necessary. Presenting an argumentation based on the different developments, this article shall show which basic changes can be seen in the structures of some selected newer curricula and curricula concepts from various states in Germany. For reasons of space it must be obvious that it is not meant to give a systematic overview about the central educational themes of all presently effective curricula in school sport. Instead it is intended to sketch only some of the curricular developments that become apparent and which hint to newer trends of the curricula concepts in Germany. Examples will be given (2). Changes of the curricula obviously require also changes in the sport teacher concepts of the universities for which only slowly signs can be seen (3). Finally, a short resume will be presented (4).
