Abstract | Every year a number of new and fresh teachers from teacher education institutions enter the teaching field with enthusiasm, excitement, love of students, and expectations about school. In addition, they have many anxieties, concerns, and apprehensions about their teaching abilities, students, and schools. They no longer are students or student teachers. They are expected to teach like experienced, professional teachers, even though they still have much to learn. To date, no research has focused specifically on the aspects the beginning physical education teachers - react to realities, contents they have developed, and the ways they change during the first year of teaching. Partially looking at realities of the first year teaching is important and essential, but viewing with continuous perspectives will be more meaningful to help them effectively. Therefore, this paper was designed to describe the realities of teaching common to all beginning physical education teachers, identify the types in which they react to realities, and draw general changes in teaching and the ways of changing process.
