Abstract | "UNESCO's Medium Term Strategy (1996 - 2001) fully endorses the promotion of activities pertaining to mobility and recognition of qualifications. Academic mobility becomes the essential tool to implement the four principles of education identified by the report of the International Commission on Education for the Twenty-first Century: learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together and learning to be." The paper describes the several activities of UNESCO in this field and analyses the recent trends and prospects in academic mobility and the recognition of studies and qualifications. (DIPF/Bi.). |
