Abstract | In german Literature questions concerning content and methods of teaching are still mainly treated separately, even today. However, there are studies concerning teaching theory which are based on the significance of methods in the constitution of results. This opinion is very common in philosophy and theory of science. The constitution thesis is explained by means of examples, and from the thesis a series of statements are developed concerning teaching methods, for example with regard to the one-sided preference of certain methods, with regard to teaching pupils methodic competence or the variety and specific validity of methods.
