| Abstract | Taking in consideration that young people in Russia and in Britain have grown up under two totally different social systems and that the political and economic systems of both countries have begun to converge since 1990/91 the author examines wether young people share the same views about family, jobs, education, sex, drinking, smoking, money and politics. He also investigates their attitudes to cope with the changed circumstances and the impact on their personal life. Finally he seeks to answer the question wether both countries are facing a "youth crisis". (DIPF/St.). |
