Abstract	The article is a detailed summary of the results of the project INTEQUAL, given by the project coordinator. This project has been carried out in the framwork of the Leonardo da Vinci programme. It focuses on an in-depth analysis of a selection of recent schemes of dual qualification. Its main features are described in the first section: a) dimension of the schemes within the education systems; b) the balance of dual education; c) the level of vocational training and the target groups. Relevant aspects of the structure, contents and didactics for the schemes of dual qualification are flexibility in curriculum design, emphasis on developing personal competence, collaborative work of teachers, cooperation between schools and enterprises. The second section reviews issues which are being investigated by project partners: 1) integrated learning processes; 2) supporting transition to higher education by students from vocational pathways; 3) tracing careers. The final section gives an outlook of potential for collaborative research under the Leonardo da Vinci programme. (DIPF/St.).
