Abstract | Two methods are used of including a linguistic dimension in the programmes of dual-national exchanges which can be distinguished as follows: A language teaching content which is part of the overall pedagogy of the exchange. It consists in including in the programme activities where the participants will encounter other languages and cultures. It works on bringing back confidence in every-day situations in which psychological and linguistic barriers occur. [...] The dual- national language lesson aims to prepare the participants in the language and culture of the country where the course takes place in a minimum period of 10 days, 5 days in France and 5 days in Germany.
