| Abstract | The article is an introduction to the credit schemes of university study and its application at universities of the Czech Republic. It presents a basic description of the credit system in contrast to the traditional one. It explains the main advantages of the credits scheme and the prerequisites for its successful application. With this article, Alma mater has started to publish information on experience with introducing credits schemes at Czech universities. In addition, the article informs of international activities in the sphere of credits schemes and of instruction sessions held on them in the Czech Republic. The unit credits scheme applied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech School of Engineering in Prague is described by Associate Professor Subert in his article. (DIPF/ uebernommen) |
