Abstract	This book is addressed to all educators who are interested in extending their horizons and those of their pupils and students. Headteachers, governors, teachers of all subjects have a part to play in ensuring that the curriculum offered to young people reflects the international environment in which we now live. (...) In spite of the enormous amount of linking activity that does go on, there are still many British schools without international links - a situation which can be easily remedied through the Central Bureau for Educational Visits and Exchanges, since there are many requests from schools abroad wishing to link with British schools. However for schools wishing to establish or develop international links, there is very little currently available in published form to support schools and teachers new to this way of working. This handbook aims to provide that support, to raise awareness of the possibilities and to offer practical guidance. It is for schools first and foremost, both primary and secondary, for governors, headteachers, and teachers working with young people aged 5-18. It is also for advisors and advisory teachers of all subjects, since any part of the curriculum can benefit from the resource which a partner school in another part of the world can offer.
