| Abstract | The purpose of this guide is to provide such information and thus facilitate the establishment of more young professionals outside their own Member States. A general introduction is followed by 12 chapters, dedicated to each Member State and detailing: The organisational structure of higher education - Awards procedures and standards - Lists of qualifications and diplomas - Specialist and professional qualifications - Key academic terms and further reading. Compiled for the European Commissions Task Force for Human Resources, Education, Training and Youth by NUFFIC, who worked in close cooperation with each National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC), the guide is unique in its pan-European view of educational qualifications. It provides up-to-date, accurate information set in the context of the international labour market - essential reading for employers recruiting beyond their national borders and for students who desire a truly European education with specialist qualifications recognised throughout the EC.
