Abstract	Die Autorin erläutert die Bedeutung digitaler Medien für Bildung und Teilhabe und beleuchtet diese im Hinblick auf Potenziale und Herausforderungen. Als eine pädagogische Zielgruppe mit deutlichen Barrieren für Teilhabe nimmt sie exemplarisch junge Menschen mit Fluchterfahrung in den Blick und stützt ihre Darlegungen unter anderem auf Daten aus dem BMBF-Verbundprojekt BIGEDIB (Bildungsteilhabe Geflüchteter in digitalisierten Bildungsarrangements). Ein eindringliches Plädoyer für eine (inklusive) Medienbildung als zentrale Bildungsaufgabe - auch für den Sachunterricht - schließt den Beitrag ab. (DIPF/Orig.). A central challenge for the education system is to strengthen inclusion and to enable participation in education in the context of digital media for all people and especially children and young people. This article looks at the importance of digital media for education and participation - both in terms of challenges and potential. First, the interaction between social inequality and digital media ('digital inequality') is discussed. Here, various dimensions of participation regarding digital media are considered. Afterwards, the article takes a closer look at a specific group: Young people with refugee experiences as a group with severe barriers to participation. Empirical data show that digital media have a high relevance for their daily life and their social participation. In this context, first findings of the BMBF joint project "Educational Participation of Refugees in Digitized Educational Arrangements" (BIGEDIB) are presented. In addition, the results of an analysis of children's and youth media on the subject of refuge are discussed. The article closes with implications for education. The author demands a stronger integration of the topic of inclusive media education in the training and further education of pedagogues and emphasizes the importance of anchoring media education as a school subject.
