Abstract | The article spells out key provisions for an adaptive fitness concept and explores potential benefits of the adaptive fitness being applied in health improvement systems on the whole and a post-stroke health improvement system in particular. Subject to the study are the main modules of the adaptive fitness disciplines and major objectives of the system. The article identifies two main avenues for the activities to address different tasks including the corrective, compensatory, preventive, educational, health-improvement and rehabilitation ones; and sets forth the base concepts, tools, methods and institutional forms for the system. The article also outlines the neuromotor rehabilitation concepts. Special emphasis is made on the fact that it is only based on the duly harmonized physical culture and adaptive fitness concepts and rules that the both components may be highly efficient in a practical application. The study gives a special classification of the physical exercises applied in the adaptive fitness system with the relevant potential application efficiency rating conditions. Most efficient groups of methods applicable in the adaptive fitness system are identified. Motor skill and activity formation and development mechanisms are described. Regularities of the post-stroke education and motor activity reformation/ rehabilitation processes are identified and explored. (Autor). |
