Abstract | This article offers a response to "Reply to Li, D'angiulli, and Kendall: The Early Development Index and Children from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Backgrounds" by Janus, Hertzman, Guhn, Brinkman, and Goldfeld. The authors disagree with Janus et al.'s claim that their paper contained a number of errors and misconceptions. They believe that their work has brought attention to several important issues regarding the Canadian Early Development Instrument and the Australian Early Development Index that need to be addressed in the interests of all children, families and communities in Australia, Canada and elsewhere.
