AbstractSince 1999, the blog has become a pervasive communication and information-sharing Internet-based tool in certain segments of the society. Within education, it is becoming much more widely used and will continue to expand rapidly as instructors learn about its adaptability for the classroom. Not only will an ever-increasing number of individuals likely use blogs in the instructional process, but also the manner in which they use them to augment the instructional process will rapidly expand. In business communication, using blogs to share information with students is a great advantage. Information is easily uploaded to the server on which the blog resides; once the information is on the server, it can be accessed as readily as any Web site. In this article, the author explains how she uses blogs in her written communication course. She also describes the advantages of blogs to the learning of her students. (ERIC).
