Abstract | Presents a critical ethnographic analysis of minority culture-based policies and programs on six university campuses in Washington State, examining how their existence contributes to retention and success of minority groups and/or to increased racial and ideological separation. Conclusions are based on interviews with 60 educators involved with policies and programs designed to support specific student ethnic groups. (Author/MSE) |
