Abstract | Differentiates values from facts, concepts, theories, and processes. Argues that general education courses fail to teach values effectively. Describes ways of teaching values (i.e., direct indoctrination, rationalized indoctrination, delineated options, and values clarification), and urges teachers to state criteria for value judgments in lectures. Discusses assessment of students' values acquisition. (PAA) |
