Abstract | This report is the successor to "Help Wanted: Projections of Jobs and Education Demand through 2018," in which researchers examined the connections between educational attainment and educational demand in the labor market. In this report, the authors update the jobs projected to be available through 2020, using a macro-micro modeling framework to forecast educational demand by detailed occupations. Research methodology is grounded in a macroeconomic analysis of the overall economy with state-by-state analyses. Data come from the Current Population Survey, the American Community Survey, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). [A bibliography is included. For the previous report, "Help Wanted: Projections of Jobs and Education Requirements through 2018," see ED524310.] (ERIC). |
