Abstract | Information on college admission requirements is provided to assist students in preparing for baccalaureate degree programs and to assist in the identification and development of college-preparatory curricula in high schools. A section entitled "Admission Requirements at Public Colleges and Universities" discusses current and planned admission requirements for Illinois public universities and presents general guidelines for the identification of college-preparatory courses. Suggested learning outcomes for college-bound students, specific as to both knowledge and skills, are provided in the following areas: language arts; mathematics; biological and physical sciences; social sciences; fine arts; and second languages.
