Abstract	Children involved in divorce often display behavioral and academic changes in the educational enviornment. This study aims to make school personnel more aware of some of the pressures facing children of divorce in order to enable school staff to help alleviate these pressures. Statistics are presented on the numbers of children affected by divorce in the U.S. Next, 39 research articles on divorce are annotated. These are organized under the following topics: the various phases of divorce; the structure of families; mediating factors which influence children's attitudinal reactions and behavior; recommendations for teachers and principals who must deal with children affected by divorce; and recommendations for school psychologists and guidance counselors. The findings of these studies are summarized in a comprehensive discussion of the issues, and recommendations are made for ways in which various school personnel can assist children adversely affected by divorce. Finally, a list of organizations and publications is presented to help families in the process of divorce. This list includes 22 books for adults and 30 books for children (specified by age). A glossary of terms used in the literature on divorce is included. (CB)
