| Abstract | The Interdisciplinary Generic Training Program (IGTP) was designed to train graduate students in related mental health fields, as well as persons without formal mental health training, to deliver team approach social services sensitive to inner city community and family life. During the last year of the program, staff members requested a retrospective evaluation of program effectiveness and/or impact with respect to accomplishment of general program and participant specific goals over the five year funding period. The current evaluation is focused on providing several types of information: (1) a summary of participant characteristics over the five year period; (2) determination and synthesis of participant objectives in terms of observable behavioral expectations; (3) documentation of the implementation of program activities as perceived by intern participants and staff; (4) determination of the long and short term program outcomes as perceived by participants in terms of participant growth, increased competence, etc.; and (5) synthesis of reactions, opinions, attitudes regarding program activities and outcomes as perceived by program staff and program participants.
