Abstract | One of the major highlights of the last quarter was the review of the Center for Occupational Education by a review and evaluation panel from the Bureau of Research, U.S. Office of Education. This in-depth evaluation centered around the various projects and activities as identified by the Center's goals. Thus, these activities were primarily concerned with (1) increasing the accessibility of occupational education to the individual, (2) the effect of adult basic education on occupational adjustment and acculturation of low literature adults, (3) the development of postsecondary occupational education in the South. Other projects and activities included the application of a program planning and budgeting system to an educational research and development center and the development of a model exemplary program in occupational education for the middle grades.
