Abstract | THE MAJOR OBJECTIVE OF THIS STUDY WAS TO APPRAISE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE 1961-62 TEXAS INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA PROJECT (TIMP). THREE DISTINCT BUT INTERRELATED SURVEYS WERE INITIATED. SURVEY "A" COLLECTED EVIDENCE ON THE TOTAL IMPACT OF TIMP UPON SCHOOL PRACTICES AND STUDENTS RECEIVING INSTRUCTION. SURVEY "B" WAS CONDUCTED SIMULTANEOUSLY AND APPRAISED ELEMENTS OF TIMP PROCEDURE. SURVEY "C" WAS CONDUCTED BY A SMALL FACULTY GROUP WHICH APPRAISED THE INSTRUMENTS USED. THIS REPORT DESCRIBES TIMP AND ANALYZES THE IMPACT OF THE PROJECT ON EDUCATIONAL MEDIA UTILIZATION IN TEXAS. IMPROVEMENTS IN METHODS OF EVALUATING THIS OR SIMILAR PROGRAMS ARE SUGGESTED. SAMPLE QUESTIONNAIRES USED IN THE VARIOUS SURVEYS ARE INCLUDED. (WB) |
