Abstract | International comparative studies shed some light on education as part of the globalization process. A driving force in this process is the tremendous, high-speed progress in the development of digital technologies. These technologies foster problem solving in many domains, not merely the educational, and additionally help in communicating solutions worldwide. The organizers of this colloquium series are very happy to present contributions from distinguished scientists and specialists from five different countries. These contributions include major suggestions for improving the learning of mathematics with technology as additional support. The Collegium Europaeum Jenense at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena tries to make a first attempt to open a forum for such educational discussions in the domain of mathematics and computer science.
