Abstract | Examined social conflict in preschoolers' play. When children resolved conflicts, they behaved differently with friends than with acquaintances. Conciliatory gestures were used more often with friends than with acquaintances. The overwhelming majority of conflicts were resolved by children yielding to other children. (BG) |
