Abstract | A-level specifications include references to Lenz's Law, giving the opportunity for high impact demonstrations of associated effects. The authors present demonstrations suitable for all classrooms and show how they can be extended to include the use of superconductors, culminating in a novel take on the classic magnet in pipe demonstration which can be used to extend the appreciation of physics in a range of audiences. The research was conducted with help from students in Year 11 and 12. (As Provided). |
