Abstract | Routine correspondence with the author's business technology students indicated the need for increased skill and professionalism in social media communications as a key driver of successful career development strategies. A new course designed to assist students in transitioning from typical, casual social media use to the more rigorous and professional standards expected of social media users "on the job" was created and offered at the senior undergraduate level. Student success was enabled by a combination of online learning modules and participation in a peer-driven course wiki. Suggestions for enhancing the course to meet the needs of future learners are provided. (As Provided). |
