Abstract | The purpose of the study was to examine the positive impact of inclusive high schools on high school students. Educators have expressed concern about the increasing number of high school dropouts and the alarming number of students between the ages of 16 and 24 who graduate without the skills or the knowledge to secure or maintain employment. An inclusive high school model that may help to reduce the dropout rate and prepare students for high technical industries was introduced for examination. The methodology was a qualitative design focused on how an inclusive high school operates with the implementation of the School to Work Act 1994 components infused in its day-to-day operations. The results of this study provided a good description of the operation of a career technical high school in southwestern Ohio. The response to the survey indicated that the work-based component is significant to the graduation success of all students.
