Abstract	A school construction guide offers key personnel in school development projects information on the complex task of master planning and construction of schools in Australia. This chapter of the guide provides advice on site selection covering selection criteria; traffic issues; and site services, such as water, power, and sewer. Additionally discussed are tips on state government planning proposals; environmental considerations, such as flooding control, landscaping, site drainage and erosion control; safety; public and private transport needs; recreational facilities; and other site facilities and services, such as roads and paths, sewage disposal, and communication systems for support staff.
