Abstract	This document presents the 1988 National Hispanic Leadership Conference's agenda on the following major issues: (1) civil rights; (2) corporate and philanthropic responsibility; (3) criminal justice; (4) culture and language policy; (5) economic development policy; (6) education; (7) employment and economic security; (8) health and mental health; (9) housing; (10) immigration, foreign policy, and national security; (11) media; (12) organized religion; (13) political and government empowerment; and (14) Hispanic and veteran military personnel. Each issue is outlined, and recommendations are offered. Hispanics are severely underrepresented in policymaking positions in the public and private sectors. Institutions in the public and private sectors too often remain impervious to the interests of Hispanics. Hispanics are still often excluded from the political process or isolated from decision-makers. Hispanics must be at the forefront of policy and programmatic initiatives to meet the challenges they face. They must focus their efforts on achieving self-sufficiency, on enhancing their community's leadership, and on strengthening their institutions. Appended are lists of committee chairpersons, corporate sponsors, and delegates to the conference. (BJV)
