AbstractBased on Fall 1979 and Fall 1980 enrollment data at 26 Washington community colleges, this four-chapter report presents a series of tables detailing enrollment and the number of full-time equivalent (FTE) faculty for 13 Humanities program areas: anthropology, art history, English as a second language, ethnic studies, foreign languages, history, humanities and social science, literature, music history, philosophy, political science, social science, and sociology. After introductory material in Chapter I, the tables in Chapter II compare Fall 1979 and Fall 1980 data, by college and program area, for annual FTE enrollment; enrollment distribution among the colleges; the number of FTE faculty; and student/faculty ratios. Chapter III presents Fall 1979 and Fall 1980 course schedules listing all of the courses offered by the colleges under each program area. For each course, tables indicate number of credit hours, enrollment, FTE faculty, time and location of the course, and the employment status of the instructor. Finally, Chapter IV profiles the students enrolled in each of the program areas during Fall 1979 in terms of age; sex; day, on-campus attendance; average credit load; and educational intent. Instructions for interpreting the data are provided at the beginning of each chapter. (JP)
