They include awards for: shower stall repair; chemical waste exchange; vibrating alarms for hearing-imparied; self-funding insurance consortium; livestock bedding as fuel; in-house cable TV installation; movable library storage; antivandalism partnership; retrofit of absorption chiller; selling university equipment; heat and water recovery; decreasing postage costs; silver recovery; earned time for employee absences; centralized irrigation control; low-pressure operation of heating plant; single identification card system; video tapes for student orientation; office automation; centralized gas water heating; reducing vehicle travel costs; landscaping; conserving wasted water; modifications to absorption chiller; waste water use in cooling towers and irrigation; electric lighting used for heat; telephone interviews; daily cash deposits; electrical machines replacing steam units; flashing light telephone signals; bulletin mailings; automatic flush tanks modification; blower shaft repairs; wood chip burning; clock/classroom bell improvement; computer-controlled inventory; residence hall heating control; replacing glass with Lexan; sheathing an old building; in-house book repair; multi-use movable wall dividers; using excess solar-heated water for a pool; reducing boiler pressure and temperature; recovering waste heat; and a new-style dishwashing machine.
