| Abstract | This final evaluation report describes and summarizes the evaluation findings for the 1976-77 school year of the Northwest Regional Education Laboratory (NWREL) Experience-Based Career Education (EBCE) Program. Following an executive summary, the report is organized into five chapters, plus a separate volume of appendixes. Chapter I summarizes the purposes and contents of the report. Chapter II describes the pilot sites' students, staff, communities and community resource persons, lists evaluation questions, summarizes the evaluation design and analysis procedures used, and summarizes the evaluation findings. Chapter III summarizes the partial evaluation of the fifth year of operation of the EBCE demonstration. Chapter IV briefly describes part D of the Exemplary Program amendments to the Vocational Education Act (VEA) involvement with EBCE and summarizes project implementation at twenty-three sites using the NWREL EBCE model. The final chapter covers procedures used in evaluating new EBCE materials developed by NWREL, NWREL site training and technical assistance, and state strategies for implementing EBCE. The pilot site evaluation design and tabulated responses to various questionnaires are included in the appendixes. (JH) |
