Abstract | This final report discusses objectives and proceedings of the Andean Studies Institute held during the summer of 1972 and sponsored by the Center for Latin American Studies. Methods and activities undertaken in the pursuit of the program objectives are described. It is suggested that future language-study institutes be combined with area-studies courses. Area studies programs are considered to be successful in motivating students to continue learning a second language. (RL) |
