(Autor). In the discourse on competences across educational settings, requirement situations form a central starting point for theoretical, didactical and empirical implications. For many educational settings, including coach education, there is no didactical discourse on requirement situations so far. Consequently, this study uses an explorative mixed-methods design to explore requirement situations of competitive sport coaches. After the theoretical derivation of a definition of requirement situations (= regularly occurring incidents, vary predictably or unpredictably, are bundled into requirement areas), N = 12 officials for coach education identified 53 association-specific requirement situations (hockey = 17; judo = 7; athletics = 17; skiing = 12), which were bundled into requirement areas (mainly training [39,13%]) by content analysis. According to a standardised online survey of n = 280 competitive sport coaches (hockey, judo, skiing, soccer, table tennis) 11 of these requirement situations apply to competitive sport coaches of all involved associations. All in all, this study not only initiates the discourse on requirement situations in coach education, it also provides orientation for other sports-related educational settings. (Autor). |
