Abstract | This essay on educational history analyzes the ideological content of the national socialist guidelines for the subject history from 1938. It is shown how the curricula for history were developped amidst power struggles between party and state as well as the pursuits of advancement of individual national socialists, and lastly, which ideological content was implemented in NS-curricula. With the help of empirical procedures individual elements of NS-ideology are identified ("Ideologeme") and weighted according to the area of education they were applied to. A central element of the curricula are national cultural concepts; antisemitism, rassism and the concept of "Führer" on the other hand are not as prominent as one would assume in light of NS war prograganda. |
