Abstract | Although voluntary contributions to colleges and universities was up 1.6%, adjusted for inflation, the rise does not keep pace with the 3% increase in expenses. Growth in foundation giving slowed slightly, but alumni contributions were up 6%. Figures on sources and uses of gifts and on institutions receiving them are presented. (MSE) |
