Abstract | Organizations these days are facing a number of challenges that affect their performance and productivity. As workplaces become more challenging to employees, employee engagement and turnover become critical concerns for management. Drawing on insights from the Job Demand-Resource model, this study explores the relationships between key organizational factors and employee attitudes toward organizational outcomes. Two major research questions are framed. The first question explores which factors contribute to employee engagement while the second one focuses on those factors that are associated with turnover intent. Data from Thai public sectors were employed to examine the relationships. Mixed results were reported regarding the hypothesized associations between the independent variables--Human Resource Management, Organizational Justice, Social Supports, and Job Demands--and the two dependent variables, employee engagement and turnover intent. The study concludes that the effects of organizational factors on employee engagement and turnover intent may differ and context-specific factors can influence the pattern of employees' attitudes.
