Abstract | The International Project on Technical and Vocational Education (UNEVOC) was established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to develop and support the network of institutions that are significantly related to technical and vocational education and the world of work. This directory provides information on UNEVOC centers and related organizations and institutions. Entries are provided for 178 UNEVOC centers and UNEVOC associate centers. Each entry includes the following: institution's country and UNESCO region; institution's status with UNEVOC, name, language, address(es), head, professional staff, year of foundation, normal working language, type, periodicals, information technology facilities, and unit or person in charge. Presented next are similar entries for six national/regional UNESCO offices and six international and regional governmental and regional agencies with which UNESCO cooperates. Concluding the guide are the following: list of four other directors containing information pertinent to planning and research and development in the field of technical and vocational education; organization nomination form; definition of UNESCO's five service regions; and country index. Several sections contain information written in both English or French or both. Although most program descriptions are written in English, a substantial number are in French and some are in Spanish.
