AbstractThis booklet describes the development and content of a model staff development pack for use in training teachers to incorporate the techniques of computer-based learning into their subject teaching. The guide consists of three parts. Part 1 outlines the aims and objectives, content, and use of the pack. Described next are seven curriculum samples dealing with the following subject areas: biology, business studies, catering science, construction, engineering, motor vehicle simulation, and theodolite simulation. Part 3 discusses the aims, development, field testing, and regional and institutional implications and impacts of the model. Appendixes to the booklet include lists of various persons involved in developing the packages, lists of regional Further Education Unit (FEU) regional curriculum bases and FEU local information centers in Great Britain from which the packs may be obtained, and a glossary.
