Abstract | With proper pretreatment, industrial wastes can often be treated together with municipal wastewater. Participants in the one-hour session described in the instructor's manual will learn about pretreatment options, objectives of pretreatment, and regulations governing the development and operation of a pretreatment program. A supplementary slide-tape presentation is available as part of the Working for Clean Water Project. The program is designed to help citizen advisory groups improve decision making in water quality planning. (Author/WB) |
