Abstract | An advertisement for higher education, and specifically for the City University of New York (CUNY), presents data to support arguments in favor of college education. The benefits described include: preparation for a career, increased job opportunities, occupational mobility, and personal fulfillment. Also listed are numerous occupations and the percentage of growth expected in each within the coming decade. The categories of jobs include: professional and technical; managers, proprietors, and officials; sales workers; clerical workers; crafts; operatives; service workers; and farm workers. One page is devoted to the advantages of attending CUNY, and the CUNY institutions and their addresses are listed. (MSE) |
