Abstract | All materials in the Upper Mississippi River ECO-Center bibliography are classified by Dewey Decimal number, so the listings for each section are organized in ascending order by Dewey number, and within Dewey classification, are roughly alphabetical by author. The bibliography includes some 400 citations with sections on books, curriculum aids, audio-visual aids, kits, and games and other materials. Entries for most items include the title and author or publisher. Some entries have a level indicator, publication date, material type, and duration (for films). There is a list by Dewey number of the areas covered by the Center's pamphlet file. A classification index indicates which kind of educational material is available for each Dewey classification. Appendices include lists of sources of free loan film catalogs and environmental education curriculum materials; an annotated list of ECO-Center curriculum materials; an index of free and inexpensive curriculum materials; and a list of equipment for loan from the ECO-Center.
