| Abstract | This report evolved from a 1976 workshop sponsored by the Institute for Science Education in Kiel, Germany. The document has two major sections: (1) Research in Science Education in Europe: Perspectives and Structures; and (2) Research in Science Education in Europe: National Reports. Subdivisions under the former heading include: Methodology and Main Areas of Research in Science Education, Future Objectives of Research in Science Education, Organization and Promotion of Research in Science Education, and Exchanges and European Cooperation in Science Education. Under the latter area reports from Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom are included.
