Abstract | Presented is the final report on the first year's activities of the Ochlocknee Multi-Handicapped Outreach Project to develop services for handicapped children (0-8 years old). It is noted that the project's first goal focuses on providing demonstration and dissemination of project information, outreach support, and replication services. A second goal of the project is reported to involve the stimulation, development, and implementation of new comprehensive or specialized services for young handicapped children. Tables outlining the project's activities in chronological order are provided in the following areas: presentations made to agencies/professionals in carrying out project dissemination activities, inter-agenccy meetings with agencies and organizations for the provision of support assistance by the project, outreach support assistance provided through inservice training sessions, and evaluation activities. Other tables cover the types of project materials disseminated and data on the services provided by the two replication sites of the project. It is concluded that the problems encountered in providing replication assistance indicate that priorities should be placed on dissemination and support assistance because of their impact on a larger number of service providers and consumers.
