Abstract | The Cranston Secondary School Curriculum Guide (7-9) for Home Economics is intended to serve as a resource for teachers, students, department chairman, guidance personnel, curriculum planners, and others involved in present or future curriculum planning. At least one broadly stated major objective is provided for each section, encompassing the work of large units or entire sections followed by numbered objectives which are detailed and specific, and intended to indicate the level of learning (the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains), the content (what will be learned), and the means of evaluation. These are followed by suggested activities which support the objectives. The 13 units on home economics cover: child development, clothing, family relations, foods, home management, family health, consumer education, nutrition, and interior decorating 1. (Author/BP) |
