Abstract | To report on a large number of wide-ranging vocational and career education programs, the Florida State advisory council utilized the three broad goals developed for such evaluations by the U. S. Office of Education, the National Advisory Council, and an ad hoc committee representing State advisory councils, responding to specific items of inquiry related to the three goals: (1) the State's goals and priorities as set forth in the Fiscal Year 1973 State Plan; (2) the effectiveness with which people and their needs are served; and (3) the extent to which council recommendations have received due consideration. Findings, conclusions, and recommendations related to each item of inquiry are presented. Appended are selected statistical tables representing data gathered by the University of West Florida and utilized by the council in preparing the annual report; information pertaining to three public meetings held by the council during the year, including the concerns expressed by persons in attendance; a position statement relating to the State division of vocational education, supporting its retention; and descriptions of two model K-14 career development education programs.
