Abstract | This document is a collection of forms, questionnaires, materials, and reports from two summer workshops attended by 50 educators and counselors at the University of Maryland. Career exploration questionnaires, progress reports on 13 career exploration workshops, career exploration 1971 goals and objectives, resource materials, and a team research form are followed by the document's major section: Each of four worlds--the human world, technological world, aesthetic world, and natural world--is related to classroom activities (e.g., have a State trooper visit the classroom) and to potential careers (policeman, crossing guard, security guard, etc.). A career exploration plan (to change attitudes toward work), career education in home economics and in industrial arts, and a high school career exploration workship follow. (NH) |
